Brooklyn's oldest Italian church community stood in solidarity with the victims affected by the devastating earthquake in central Italy.

Saint Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Carroll Gardens held a special mass for the victims Sunday evening.

The parish collected donations to help provide relief to people in Italy who are in need.

The priest welcomed both members and nonmembers, as well as those who practice other religions to join together in the special mass.

The mass included prayer, music and discussions about the aftermath of Wednesday's deadly earthquake.
