Many Brooklyn residents made their way to Prospect Park Sunday to take part in Brooklyn Community Services' annual "Million Step Challenge."
The walk brings together adults with developmental disabilities for a one-mile walk.
Located in Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Community Services is a nonprofit organization that has been around since 1866.
BCS also works to help children get into free early childhood education programs, move families into more stable housing and work with adults with disabilities so they can receive job training and placement.
BCS says they work with about 13,000 people each year, and have seen an increase in that number since Superstorm Sandy hit.
