A 37-year-old former math teacher in Brooklyn has been charged for allegedly enticing or trying to convince teenage students from four schools to send him images of nudity and sexual performances.

The defendant, Winston Nguyen, faces charges of use of a child in sexual performance and promoting a sexual performance by a child as sexually motivated felonies.

Nguyen was formerly a teacher at Saint Ann's in Brooklyn Heights and would allegedly pretend to be a young teen and fellow student when engaging in conversations of sexual nature over Snapchat. He is being charged for his alleged crimes against five girls and one boy who went to Saint Ann's, Poly Prep Country Day, Berkeley Carroll School and Packer Collegiate Institute.

The 11 charged incidents took place between October 2022 and May 2024. Nguyen allegedly used Snapchat accounts called 'hunterkristoff' and 'haircutbongos' depicting a nude boy masturbating and would ask teenagers ages 13-15 to send images of themselves nude or performing sexual acts.

It's believed that Nguyen shared some of the photos he received from the victims when chatting with other children.
