Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez has announced 32 men and women, including popular drill rapper Sheff G, have been arrested in a major gang takedown.

He says 32 people have been indicted Tuesday as investigators allege these suspects are responsible for two dozen violent incidents.
Investigators allege gang activity took place across central to south Brooklyn, neighborhoods including Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Flatbush, East Flatbush, Canarsie and Brownsville.
The district attorney adds that two gangs ultimately joined together to become more prominent and access guns.
He says Sheff G, whose real name is Michael Williams, became a prominent member of the gang and used his fortune to encourage gang activity.
“We believe much of the violence perpetrated by this gang was made possible because Michael Williams promised members a lot of cash, and then if they put in the gang work, they would be rewarded financially or appear in his some of his videos,” Gonzalez says.
Mayor Eric Adams referenced TikTok as a main platform that was used by Sheff G to promote violence.
According to authorities, Sheff G could be facing anywhere from five to 25 years along with many of the others arrested.
