A Brooklyn family is asking for the public’s help to find a missing man who has mental health issues.
Alcindor Jenkins, 35, also known as Jerry, was last seen outside his apartment building at 113 Ten Eyck St. last Sunday wearing all black with red sneakers.
Jenkins sister, Nicole Autry, says she’s particularly worried about her brother's whereabouts because he deals with mental health issues and relies on medication.
She says she talked to her brother last Sunday and she was supposed to see him Monday. However, he vanished in the middle of the night from the apartment that he shares with his brother.
"He’s going to be confused...  might be scared. Are you going to say, 'I’m OK,' he’s going to say, 'I’m OK, I’m OK, I’m OK...' Jerry, just come home. We all love you, we’re waiting for you. If you’re out there, just call the police or ask someone to help you get home," Autry pleaded.
Police describe Jenkins as 5 foot 7 inches tall with brown eyes, black hair and a star tattoo on his right hand.
Anyone with any information about Jenkins is asked contact police.
