A community rallied together in Brighton Beach Friday in response to a fatal hammer attack at a Sheepshead Bay restaurant.
Three people were ultimately killed as a result of the assault at Seaport Buffet.
The suspect, Arthur Martunovich, allegedly stormed into the restaurant with a hammer and began swinging. He hit the owner, manager and chef in the head.
Borough leaders were also out to denounce the crime.
"Our community is still grieving from this brutal attack but we are also standing together as one, declaring that this incident does not represent who we are as New Yorkers," said Brooklyn Councilman Chaim Deutsch.
The man accused in the attack is facing charges of murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
