A Brooklyn man is in custody after the death of his elderly grandmother inside her Bronx home. 
According to authorities, 48-year-old Erik Perez was arrested Thursday following a two-hour standoff with police in the Throgs Neck section of the borough. 
They say 87-year-old Alice Durso was found dead due to head trauma. Two of the victim's relatives and a home health aide were also injured. 
Perez is now facing a number of charges, including second-degree murder and felony assault. He's currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. 
Police say Perez has a history of psychiatric problems.
