Brooklyn man arrested, charged for murder of Georgia man in Coney Island

Officers found Williams after a shot spotter activation at 1 Ocean Dr., blocks away.

A Brooklyn man has been arrested and charged for the murder of a man from Georgia in Coney Island.

Police say that Ronald Williams, 38, of Georgia was found inside of a car in front of a building on West 35th Street just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday. He had gunshot wounds to the torso and arm and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers found Williams after a shot spotter activation at 1 Ocean Dr., blocks away.

Hours later, 31-year-old Eugene Ohemeng, who lives at that Ocean Drive address, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
