Police say they are looking for a Brookyln man who escaped their custody in Manhattan Thursday night.
Daniel Ortiz, 31, was at Lenox Hill Healthplex Hospital before he escaped wearing his leg shackles, police say.
He is said to walk with a limp and he may be bleeding from his wrists.
Ortiz lives in a shelter on Bedford Avenue. It is currently unknown why he was taken to the hospital.
