Brooklyn man faces gang assault charges, accused of stomping on man’s head during Crown Heights parking garage attack
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says a Brooklyn man is facing gang assault charges, accused of stomping on a man’s head during an attack inside a Crown Heights parking garage.
Yarvion Pickering, 26, faced a judge for the first time on Monday. He and two other men, who remain at large, are accused of assaulting the 44-year-old around 10 a.m. on Nov. 21 inside the 1700 Bedford Ave. garage.
Prosecutors say the trio punched and kicked the man all over his body before Pickering allegedly jumped and stomped on his head. They say another man beat the 44-year-old with a baseball bat.
EMS took the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Kings County, according to authorities. He is expected to recover.
Pickering faces a slew of additional charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, harassment and multiple counts of assault and attempted gang assault.
Authorities released photos of the men wanted for their roles in the attack. They say one was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a green adidas vest, black sweatpants and white sneakers. The other was seen wearing a black du-rag, a camouflage shirt and pants, a black hooded jacket and black and green sneakers.
