A man was stabbed to death Monday night on a quiet residential street in Bensonhurst, police say.
Police officers arrived on the scene at 1636 W 7 St. at around 11 p.m. after receiving a call about a stabbing in the neighborhood. Officials say they found the victim, Samson Chan, in his home, unconscious and unresponsive with several stab wounds to his torso. Witnesses say Samson was also dismembered.
A woman who lived with the victim was taken into police custody for questioning, although Harry Olsen, a neighbor, says he never heard the couple fight. Olsen adds the area where the deadly stabbing occurred is usually very quiet.
Local residents say Chan has an 18-year-old daughter who was staying in Manhattan with grandparents at the time of the stabbing.
No additional arrests have been made so far, but police say they are questioning several persons of interest.
