Brooklyn man indicted in connection to hate crime, assault against Muslim man, DA says

The suspect was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated harassment and hate crime three days later.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Jr. says a Brooklyn man was indicted in connection to an anti-Muslim attack in Midtown, Manhattan.
Officials say David Grinblat, 34, approached the 25-year-old Muslim man near West 53rd Street and 5th Avenue on Aug. 5. Walking by the victim, Grinblat allegedly spat on him and made anti-Muslim remarks before punching the victim in the face several times.
Grinblat was arrested and charged with assault, aggravated harassment and hate crime three days later.
