A Brooklyn man who is wanted for murder and arson in New York has been arrested in Virginia, according to officials.
Police say 18-year-old Jahkeem Scott evaded capture for more than five months before he was arrested in Virginia on Monday.
According to officials, Scott stabbed Romulo Heras in the neck in his Logan Street apartment in Cypress Hill before setting it on fire on Jan. 22.
Police say Scott was arrested in Richmond, Virginia on May 20, and is currently awaiting extradition back to New York on June 1.
