Friday kicked off the second night of carnival week at the Brooklyn Museum ahead of Labor Day weekend.
Organizers say this year marked the 50th anniversary of New York Caribbean Carnival Week.
While Thursday was reggae night, Friday’s theme was “Brass Fest,” an evening full of culture and traditional Caribbean music.
“It’s really nice,” said one attendee. “It brings everyone together in unity, in harmony.”
The event highlighted performances by some of the biggest names in Caribbean music – Tizzy, Lavaman, Problem Child and many more.
