A nonprofit group aimed at helping students graduate and teaching tolerance is in jeopardy after a fire claimed its office space last week.
The Bedford-Stuyvesant administrative offices for School News Nationwide were condemned due to structural damage to the building. School officials estimate about $1 million in damages and are unable to hold classes or continue programs.
They are actively searching for a new Brooklyn home.
School News Nationwide says that a new space will enable the program to continue to bring Holocaust survivors to classrooms to help educate city youths.
