A Brooklyn nursery school was abruptly shut down last week.
Employees at Beachbrook Nursery School in Sheepshead Bay say it was a shock when they found out Thursday that it would be their last day on the job.
They say they worked a regular day, but letters sent to parents toward the end of their shift said the school would be closed until further notice due to a staff shortage.
The director of the school tells News 12 that the employees were actually threatening not to come in because they weren't being paid. The director says that's why they had to abruptly close the school.
However, employees tell News 12 that is untrue.
The director of the school also blames the state for being late with funding.
