Brooklyn peace group welcomes 2007 with anti-war vigil

Brooklyn Parents for Peace welcomed 2007 Tuesday with a candlelight, anti-war vigil in Grand Army Plaza.The protest comes after the Pentagon reported 3,000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Iraq.

Brooklyn Parents for Peace welcomed 2007 Tuesday with a candlelight, anti-war vigil in Grand Army Plaza.The protest comes after the Pentagon reported 3,000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Iraq. The group wants the newly Democratic-controlled Congress to end war funding until an exit plan is adopted.
Brooklyn Parents for Peace members say they are also shedding light on the countless Iraqi deaths that have occurred since the war started in 2003.
