Brooklyn Prospect High School announced it will be moving from its Windsor Terrace Location to Downtown Brooklyn on Livingston Street.
News 12 got an exclusive look at the new property.
School officials tell News 12 the building will have more of a modern look and include amenities like an NBA-sized gym. They say the school will be closer to some of their other schools, as well as their network office.
Brooklyn Prospect High School's Principal Kylie Taylor Barker says the location is key.
“We'll be centrally located here and that gives us a ton of opportunities for exploring both Brooklyn and New York City at large," said Barker.
The school will eventually hold 1.200 students, and all 800 current students will have a spot. All other spots will be determined by a lottery.
The school is also co-located with St. Francis College, which it says will give students a glimpse at life post-graduation.
It says it will open its doors in the fall of 2026. K-8 will take over the Windsor Terrace location.
