Brooklyn residents eagerly await presidential election results
Brooklyn residents say they are eagerly awaiting the presidential election results.
Some residents at Barclays Center told News 12 their thoughts on the presidential race, and what they want to see in the White House going forward.
"I hope the next president that gets in takes care of the people," says resident Donnett Williams. "Not just some people, but all the people in America. We need changes in America, and that's why we vote…to make our vote count."
Resident Conrad Cruz says he wants to see some change in how the COVID-19 pandemic was handled, and that he thinks President Donald Trump "downplayed it."
Barclays Center was a major epicenter for protests over the summer.
Local leaders say that the early voting turnout in Brownsville was about 30% lower than other parts of the district. 
Residents in Brownsville tell News 12 they are anxiously awaiting election results but overall hope for togetherness and peace.
