Brooklyn residents lined up outside IHOP looking to get a free short stack in honor of National Pancake Day.
Patrons gathered at the IHOP restaurant in Canarsie Tuesday.
They enjoyed free short stacks of the restaurant's signature buttermilk pancakes.
In return, customers were given the opportunity to leave a donation to the Cohen Children's Miracle Network Hospital in Yonkers or another designated local charity.
It's the 11th year IHOP has participated in National Pancake Day.
According to IHOP's website, the American chain restaurant has raised $20 million nationally since 2006 to support charities in the communities in which they operate.
