Many Brooklyn residents took advantage of the unofficial last day of summer.

Some enjoyed the sunshine in Prospect Park.

Residents were out an about on their day off from work, appreciating the beautiful sunny weather by walking their dogs, going for a run, riding their bikes or just sitting in the park with their loved ones.

One resident told News 12 Brooklyn that they are taking advantage of the day off by attending a neighborhood barbecue and exercising in the park.
