Brooklyn residents are preparing for the 28th annual Twilight Parade.
The event will kick off Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and paradegoers believe that this year is going to be the best one yet.
"This is going to be the biggest parade we've ever had," said Mickey Heller, a 12-year member with Brooklyn Pride, the organizers of the event.
Heller says they are expecting over 90 organizations and over 1,500 marchers to be in attendance.
The parade gives them a chance to stand up for their rights and also gives them a celebration to express themselves freely.
"Tomorrow is a celebration. We are celebrating who we are, we are rejoicing in who we are, because we are not going to let anyone stop us from continuing to march," said Heller.
The parade will travel along 5th Avenue, starting at Lincoln Place and ending on 9th Street. Heller says it's the only Twilight Parade in the Northeast.
