Brooklyn residents head to the polls Tuesday for the primary elections.

Residents are choosing Senate, governor and attorney general candidates to face off in the general elections in November. Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) is up against anti-war candidate and labor organizer Jonathan Tasini. In the gubernatorial race, Democrat Attorney General Eliot Spitzer and Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi are facing off. Another big seat up for grabs in the primaries is the attorney general seat.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn?s 11th Congressional District has been getting a lot of attention prior to the elections. The historically black district has a white candidate, David Yassky, competing against three black candidates.

Brooklyn voters should vote at a polling site in their district. The polls will close at 9 p.m.
