Saturday marked the first day for early voting in person. Brooklyn residents are showing up at their early voting polling place at 9 a.m. to cast their ballot.

All eyes are on the mayoral race as the Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa and former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, running as an Independent, faceoff for the office.

Voters will also be choosing a new city comptroller, public advocate, as well as borough president and city councilmembers.

“I come out because the world needs better, and I think voting is my voice," said Jenna, a Canarsie resident.

Early voting lasts nine days this year and will run until Nov. 2.
