Students at one Brooklyn school are swapping out their heavy textbooks for iPads.
Thanks to the Copia Class App, students at the Eagle Academy are able to swipe their way into their textbooks without having to lug them home or take them out in class. The kids say the app makes everything amazing and fun.
Teachers say using the iPad helps keep the kids engaged. They also say it helps to monitor students' progress.
Two other schools in East Williamsburg are also using the app. The borough president is now calling on the Education Department to expand the program.
