The Brooklyn Seltzer Museum is hosting its first Egg Cream Invitational competition featuring teams from across the country.
The fizzy drink is a family affair for the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys, including fifth-generation seltzer boy Aidan who’s starting his career as a judge for this inaugural contest.
"It's running through my veins. I grew up on seltzer, I've been working in the seltzer business all my life. I love seltzer,” said one of the Seltzer Boys.
Most egg creams contain seltzer, cream and chocolate syrup, but the winning team from Philadelphia brought the egg back to the old drink. While it was a first-time taste for Aidan, it eventually paid off, helping them bring home the gold.
