A unique program is giving Brooklyn senior citizens the opportunity to earn a college degree, for free.
Kingsborough Community College says 2,000 people participate in the school?s My Turn program each year. Senior citizens attend class with younger students, and both age groups agree they are learning from each other. My Turn Director Barbara Ginsberg feels earning a college degree gives seniors a sense of purpose and keeps their memories in tact.
Students only have to pay a registration fee for the free classes.
