A Brooklyn jewelry store that designs aromatherapy bracelets is donating merchandise to patients with cancer.
With every bracelet purchased, Vented owner Chrisie Canny says she will donate a Mini Vented bracelet to a patient with cancer.
The bracelets work by releasing essential oils that are held inside of it.
Each bracelet can be refilled and comes with a custom power word to help give wearers a daily dose of strength, love, hope or gratitude, Canny says.
She says aromatherapy treatments can help improve both a person's mind and body.
"When we give one to a cancer patient, we give it with peppermint because peppermint helps with anti-nausea so it really helps with their chemo treatment and then during the day they would put the oil in the back and simply smell it and relax," she says.
