A Brooklyn cheerleading squad has much to celebrate after earning a spot to compete in the National Cheerleading Championships.

The Brooklyn Tech Cheer squad will be cheering in Orlando next February at Disney World.

The team beat out six other teams, landing first place in the UCA Empire Regional Competition and securing their spot to compete for the championships.

“Once we heard the news we were all crying. We are so happy we couldn't contain ourselves,” says cheerleader Tamia Laptis. “We were all really proud that we all came together and were taught and were able to do it."
