A Brooklyn teenager was found stabbed to death in Queens Thursday evening.

Investigators say 19-year-old Jayson Fernandez was discovered around 6:15 p.m. near 93rd Street and 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights with a stab wound to his stomach. He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he later died.

A police source tells News 12 that Fernandez was found on top of a garage behind a home, but detectives are still trying to figure out how he got there and what led to the attack.

Neighbors say crime in the area isn’t surprising.

“It’s not a surprise in this neighborhood. It always happens. When I see all the units here, I feel safe, but at the time — no,” said Jackson Heights resident Luis Quiros.

Right now, police say no arrests have been made. They do not have a suspect description.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
