Brooklyn?s tourism industry is booming and many visitors are returning to make the borough their home.
Bella and Jean-Louis Lawson, whose son-in-law is from Brooklyn, are visiting from Geneva, Switzerland. They plan to take morning walks to see the brownstones in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, New York Aquarium and other Coney Island attractions are a few more activities they plan to enjoy. The Lawsons like the borough so much, they?re considering buying a home in Brooklyn.
According to Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, there?s even more to enjoy. He cites the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the ships that now dock in Red Hook as popular tourist destinations.
