More than 100 organizations were at the Park Slope Armory Thursday for a volunteer fair to get more people involved in their community.
The groups were looking for volunteers to get involved with gardening and working with children. Volunteers were also sought for helping with emergency response during disaster situations.
Fair organizers say holding the event is effective because it puts a face to the organizations and people could actually see who they may want to work with.
