? Hundreds of Brooklyn kids spent their Saturday at the Youth Move Kick Off workshop at Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights.
Participants say it was a day filled with basketball, raffles, mentoring and, most importantly, educating youth about avoiding gang violence. Organizers say children got a chance to interact with people who made wrong choices, but turned their lives around, attended school and found legal jobs.
The event, which was being planned since January, had more than 400 people in attendance and served to unite the community.
