Brooklynites were out and about on Thursday as they picked up last minute dishes for their Thanksgiving feasts.
Mia's Bakery on Smith Street in Boerum Hill had a steady line of customers all day long. Staff say this is their busiest day of the year with more than 2,300 orders placed.
They spend two months preparing for the big day.
"I love it, I love it. I've been doing this for the last eight years and I can’t imagine Thanksgiving without being here. It's a lot of pressure but it's exciting, it's nice to know that so many people are going to be sharing Mia's with their family," said Agapios Asprou, a managing partner of the bakery.
The bakery is known for their pecan, pumpkin, and apple pies.
If you plan on heading out this evening for last minute food items, keep in mind that Target, Costco, and Trader Joes are closed. Whole Foods and Wegmans are open.
