Brooklyn's first medical marijuana dispensary opened in Park Slope in December, and residents say they're welcoming the new facility.
Colleen Hughes, who has been suffering from endometriosis for the past 25 years, says medical marjiuana has given her a new lease on life.
The new dispensary, Citiva, allows anyone to come inside but to pass the second set of doors you must be 21 or older. In order to purchase any products, you have to have a medical marijuana card.
Dr. Jack D'Angelo says whether it's for seizures, Parkinson's disease, chronic pain, or another diagnosis, the facility is there to help.
Hughes says medical marijuana is more than an alternative.
