Most of the best spots for apple pie in New York City are in Brooklyn, according to a Newsday ranking.

The list includes Pies 'n Thighs in Williamsburg, Baked in Red Hook, Four and 20 Blackbirds in Gowanus, and Butter and Scotch, whose candy apple pie is a hit at Brooklyn Flea in Williamsburg.

Newsday named Baked as having the best apple pie in all of New York City.

"Every pie, every dough is rolled out by hand. All the filling is made by hand. The apples are cut by hand. It is as close to a homemade pie as you can possibly get," said Renato Poliafito, co-owner of Baked.
