Church members in Clinton Hill have spent the last couple years trying to raise funds for repairs, and their goal has finally been met.
Over the years, a historic stained-glass window, called "The Pilgrims," at Brown Memorial Baptist Church sustained damage estimated at $325,000.
With hard work, the congregation won a $200,000 grant from national organization Partners in Preservation, which works to preserve historic buildings.
Although being close to losing the grant, the additional funds were raised with the help of the community and another grant.
The window is expected to be completed by Dec. 31 of this year.
