Bruce Springsteen posted an update on his recovery on social media after postponing several European shows last week due to vocal issues.

But right now? “The Boss” is closer to home than you may think. In a video posted on Instagram, Springsteen, who is from Long Branch, says he’s in the “wildlands" of New Jersey.

The 74-year-old singer and guitarist said he’s just getting over his “vocal bug.” He apologized to fans for missing the shows and thanked fans in the cities with postponed concerts.

And even though Springsteen is usually the one singing, he got a little serenade himself. He also posted video showing fans from around the world singing and performing for him.

Springsteen is expected to make up the shows he missed. “We will be back and we will give you the show of your lives,” he said in the video.
