Police say a burglar got away with a safe containing $100,000 during a theft spree that targeted two Cypress Hills businesses.

The thefts happened between May 26 and May 30 and followed a similar pattern - breaking into a business and getting away with cash.

The NYPD says the man got away with the largest amount on May 26 when he broke into a business near Atlantic Avenue and Crescent Street at around 2:15 a.m. Once the man got inside, he swiped the safe holding the lump sum and took off running toward Atlantic Avenue.

Four days later, he forced his way into 537 Conduit Blvd. at around 11:40 p.m. and took about $2,000 from a cash register, according to police.

The NYPD released images of the burglar, who they say was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket and gray pants.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
