An artist in Bushwick hopes to win over the city with a pair of sneakers inspired by the people and places that make it great.
ELO, a visual artist and shoe designer, says he's gone around the five boroughs and taken pictures with people and also shared their stories through a campaign called "What The NYC."
He says he has incorporated New Yorkers’ stories and iconic imagery into a pair of sneakers.
The sneakers include his own original art, but they also show the iconic MTA subway card, NYPD crime tape and even a pizza box.
ELO paired with a footwear team at Relevant studio to bring his vision alive.
He says he is using social media to highlight the people, places and perspectives all over the city.
