Slaying Vintage Urban is a new boutique in Bushwick and is looking to make its mark on the community.
The business is encouraging people to join Black Trans Nation as part of their “Back To Work” program for individuals looking for fashion, employment, mentorship or entrepreneurial opportunity.
TS Candii, president of Slaying Urban Vintage, says she wants to give sex workers more opportunities for employment to find a safer career off the streets.
“It gives individuals an opportunity and 25% of all of the proceeds will go back to Black Trans Nation so that people can do mutual aid,” said Candii. “People can give trans women funds to pay their bills and to survive so they do not have to always resort to sex work.”
