Buybuy Baby has announced all store locations will close at the end of this year.
According to a statement posted on its website, the company will transition into a digital-first brand and focus on an "exceptional online shopping experience."
The company says the decision was made after listening to customers and partners. As a result, Buybuy Baby has started offering discounts on nearly all items in-store while supplies last.
For expecting mothers who have created a baby registry, their registry will still be available online. The company says registry completion codes can still be used in-store or online on applicable items, but in-store discounts will not be combined.
Gift cards will be honored at stores through Oct 31. After that date, customers will be able to use them online.
For those with a furniture order, the company says its customer service team will reach out to customers to discuss the next steps in the progress.
Buybuy Baby has locations in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut.
