Saturday marked the kickoff to the Smorgasburg season, and thousands of people were ready for it.
Nearly 100 vendors were stationed inside East River State Park in Williamsburg to showcase all different types of food. Lobster, tacos, specialty fries, churros and ice cream were just some of the dishes being served up.
The event runs every Saturday for the next several months, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Organizers say it's a great way for people from all over the world to have some fun and enjoy a little bit of what Brooklyn has to offer.
For foodies who can't make it to Smorgasburg on Saturdays -- many of the vendors are also at the Prospect Park location on Sundays.
