Conditions in Canarsie have stayed mostly dry early Saturday as the borough braces for steady rain due to the effects of former Hurricane Laura.

A light shower passed by the area around 8 a.m. and gray skies were in the area as of 9:30 a.m.

News 12 meteorologists say flash flooding is a concern for later Saturday as heavy rain is expected across the city.
