Two candidates are making a last-minute effort to secure votes in the race for the 27th state Senate District seat left vacant by ex-Sen. Carl Kruger.
Republican candidate David Storbin, a Brooklyn attorney, spent the day campaigning in Brighton Beach. Storbin says the main issues at hand are jobs and the economy.
Storbin's opponent, Democratic City Councilman Lew Fidler, believes that his track record makes him the right man for the job.
The special election for Kruger's seat comes after he pleaded guilty to bribery charges.
The election will take place Tuesday, March 20. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
