Customers say a car crashed through a front window at a McDonald's in Canarsie Friday morning.

Canarsie residents who frequent the McDonald's for their breakfast say they're glad they weren't inside at the time. They also say that the location reopened recently after being renovated.

The McDonald's was seen still serving customers as repairs were underway.

Residents also say this isn't the first time a car has crashed through a storefront window in the area.

The manager of the location declined to speak with News 12. News 12 also reached out to McDonald's for a response.

Customers tell News 12 that an elderly woman was driving the car, and that she goes to that McDonald's every morning. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital.
