Students at Cardinal Hayes High School collected money to help with the relief efforts in Ukraine.
Father Edward Young at St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Connecticut picked up the donation Monday.
"I think we saw our students really understand the plight of these poor people that are suffering," says principal William Lessa. "I think they felt good about doing something to help in their own way."
The students collected over $2,000.
