Residents were at Brooklyn Borough Hall to kick off Caribbean American Heritage Month.
As part of the celebrations, free cultural events and activities will be happening at Borough Hall throughout the month of June.
The activities include a lunchtime film, Caribbean-American business expo, and an art display.
Borough President Eric Adams says it's an exciting time to learn about what is happening in the Caribbean community.
