Festivities for the West Indian American Day Carnival kicked off with a party outside the Brooklyn Museum on Thursday.
The fun is just getting started and organizers are still putting finishing touches on the venue.
Artists throughout the Caribbean and even Africa are making their way to Brooklyn.
