A moose who tried to jump over a fence but got stuck was freed in in Barkhamsted.
Connecticut State Environmental Conservation Police say it happened just after 11 p.m. Friday.
Officers first thought the moose was impaled by the fence at the Barkhamsted Reservoir, but realized it was stuck.
Two local fire departments and the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection ENCON Police removed a portion of the fence and the moose was able to free itself.
The moose was able to walk away safely and appeared uninjued.
